PuroMAG™ Protein A/G Coated Magnetic Beads #MGB-PRAG-1, MGB-PRAG-5

PuroMAG™ Prpotein A/G coated magnetic beads are designed for efficient capture of IgG and other antibodies from serum, cells, and other biological samples.
 
Protein A/G coupled PuroMAG  superparamagnetic beads are suitable for fast and efficient capture of a wide range of Ig’s. Protein A/G shows varying affinity for Ig’s from different species and for different isotypes within a species (see the Table in the Info section).
 
During the purification the sample containign Ig's is first mixed with PuroMAG Protein A/G coated beads. During 30 min incubation the Ig’s bind to PuroMAG-PRAG beads via their Fc region. The samples are then placed on a magnetic rack for pull-down and washhing to produce a purified compelex of antibodies bound to Protein A/G beads. Bound antibodies can then be covalently cross linked to bead-immobilized Protein A/G to get a very stable bead-antibody complex for further antigen capture experiments.
 
Strong magnetic core allows PuroMAG™ Magnetic Beads to be separated out of solution with magnets in under 30 seconds. This allows for easy processing with magnetic racks, removing the need for a centrifuge.
 
PuroMAG™ Magnetic Bead technology can also be used with automated extraction systems for high throughput nucleic acid purification.

Applications:
Magnetic separation of antibodies. The protein A coated magnetic beads are simply added to antibodies for binding and capture.
During the incubation time, the Ab binds to the MGB-PRAG beads via their Fc-region. The samples are transferred to a magnetic rack for easy removal of unbound residue.
The bead-bound Ab can be used for immunoprecipitation.
