10% SDS Solution
Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS), also known as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), is an anionic surfactant with a 12-carbon hydrophobic tail and a hydrophilic sulfate group, giving it amphiphilic properties. These properties allow SDS to form micelles in solution, making it effective at solubilizing hydrophobic molecules. It is widely used in molecular biology applications such as nucleic acid extraction and protein electrophoresis.
- Sterile. Filtered through 0.22 µm fliter
